It’s tempting to regard the process of ageing as an inevitable winding down until we reach a (literal) dead stop. Recent research indicates that staying busy is the key to sticking around longer. It also suggests that a packed schedule (especially with a variety of stimulus) may increase the ability to learn in later years.
There are rich implications here for how business might evolve to contribute to and benefit from a cohort which is actively interested in being stimulated by a variety environments and challenges. Imagine a pool of talent, keen to combine experience with new learnings and intrinsically focused on the task at hand rather than career building.
